Christianity and Culture: The Fight For Family

Date: January 5, 2020

It doesn’t take a degree in sociology to realize our culture is facing a crisis of identity. So many things we have taken for granted have been scattered in the winds of change. What if the secret to revival was closer than you think? In this Christianity and Culture Class, Pastor Adam will be discussing just that. We will see how the Christian family is designed by God to be salt and light in a confused world.

The King’s Question for Peace Church

Date: November 3, 2019 @ 5:30 PM

In this unique Christianity and Culture Class, Peace Church is going to do a gut check. One day, our church will give an account to the Lord for the work we have done in our region. How are we using the divine opportunities he has given us? Will we be ready to explain our use of God’s resources? We believe everyone will want to be part of this one-of-a-kind opportunity to hear from Pastor Adam and Pastor Ryan as we take a look at the real-world call of Jesus on our church family.

compassion without compromise 2.0: What has changed
in the last five years, and what does it mean for us?

Date: September 8, 2019 @ 5:00 PM (in the Gym)

In 2014, Pastor Adam’s book, cowritten with Ron Citlau, took a look at what the Bible really teaches about homosexuality and how the Gospel opens the door for us truly to love all people. It was titled, Compassion without Compromise: How the Gospel frees us to love our gay friends without losing the truth. That book concluded with a prediction that things were going to accelerate. Change was going to come quickly. And it has! In this Christianity and Culture lecture, we will see how the sexual revolution is impacting the Church our culture in ways we could never have imagined. More importantly, we will see that the Gospel is still the answer!
