Marriage Retreat 2019
At Peace Church, we believe God reveals his blueprint for healthy marriages through scriptures. The most important factor for discipleship in an individual is the home in which they grew up, and the most important factor in a strong home is the quality of the marriage. Our goal is to equip couples with biblical truths and strategies to build strong marriages and families. Our annual weekend retreat is a great opportunity for husbands and wives to set aside the distractions of life, have some fun, enjoy some alone time, and gather with other couples with a common goal of celebrating and growing in marriage. We hope you’ll plan now to join us!
Location: Maranatha Conference Grounds, Muskegon, MI (4759 Lake Harbor Rd, Muskegon, MI 49441)
Dates: February 1–3, 2019. (7:00 PM on Friday–Noon on Sunday)
Cost: $300.00 per couple (all-inclusive cost includes your meals and two nights stay in hotel style lodging with your spouse). Payment by installment is available.
We want to encourage you and your spouse to be part of a marriage Growth Group. Studying God’s word and His plan for marriages with other couples is a great way to maintain a focus on your most important relationship.
Growth Groups are a great way to provide support and encouragement in our marriages. They deepen relationships in our church, and they allow us to grow spiritually. Sign up right now and let us help you find a growth group right for you.
For those of you already in a Growth Group, we do have several recommended curriculum resources available, including:
- What Did You Expect? (Paul David Tripp)
- Guardrails (Andy Stanley)
- Marriage Oneness (Tim and Lea Lundy, FamilyLife)
If you are interested in other suggestions for book or video studies, contact us!
Can't attend the retreat, but want to help with this ministry?
Here are a few ideas on how you can help promote healthy and Godly marriages:
- Pray for a specific couples who will be attending the marriage retreat.
- Provide a full or partial scholarship to help sponsor a couple to attend the marriage retreat.
- If you are able and willing, offer to watch a couple's children, while they attend the marriage retreat.
- Invite someone who does not attend our church to join us at the marriage retreat.
We have been fortunate to have our church members do these things in the past. It is a great investment in the marriages of our congregation.
