Jesus is the king and so his birth, while lowly by human standards, was in truth, a royal event. This event was announced by the angels of heaven and included a reception with wisemen who gave special gifts to the newborn king, gifts that point to, and in many ways reveal, the unique aspects of why Jesus came to earth. This Christmas, we’ll seek to have a celebration, of presents and proclamation, that is fit for a king, our king; King Jesus!
